    Though the majority of learning in Masters courses comes from reading, it is vital not to overlook the role of lectures and listening. This chapter considers active listening, attention, body language and gestures and the respect for peers and lecturers needed. How are questions best posed? What are the important signals for key ideas to look out for in lectures? These are some of key elements of a short chapter that makes the argument that Media and Communications are all about people, good communication and that an ability to listen are essential both in the class and later the workplace
