Archives and Online Resources

Providing a summary of some of the major archives and collections of primary source materials, as well as an introduction to many useful and relevant online resources, this chapter is intended as a practical guide to further research and exploration of the key conflicts and most significant themes of The Blitz Companion. It aims to help students at schools, universities and others interested in the history of air wars and their impact on civilian urban populations. This chapter is not intended as an exhaustive listing of all the materials available to interested readers, but will hopefully alert them to the exciting and fascinating collections available in Britain and other countries. It also provides a health warning about the dangers of some websites.
